TLV personnel’s have experience in Managerial positions allow us to take a broader view of ship management and our training focuses these skills on providing an objective overview for risk assessment.


Our staff specializes in inspecting oil and chemical vessels under the CDI and OCIMF Sire system. All of our inspectors have sailed on various types of chemical and petroleum tankers either in the rank of Master or Chief Engineer, are fully trained , have been ashore as superintendents operating various types of vessels and participate in oil majors / TMSA office reviews – audits.


Providing the industry with an independent organization, offering professional services to the principals, establishing ,maintaining highest level of marine consultancy and surveying services in line with international rules & regulations and ISM implementations are only a few of our company’s targets and priorities.  TLV assures to provide its customers with full and complete details, quality reports, which meet their expectations.




  Chemical Distribution Institute
  The CDI is incorporated under the law of the Netherlands as the Stichting Chemical Distribution Institute (CDI) and operates as a non-profit making foundation.
  To improve the safety and quality performance of marine transportation and storage for the chemical industry.
  To provide chemical companies with cost effective systems for risk assessment, thus assisting their commitment to Responsible Care and the Code of Distribution Management Practice.
  To provide the chemical industry with an independent organisation for training, qualification and accreditation of inspectors, and databases on which inspection information can be promulgated.
  To provide a single set of accurate, reliable and consistent inspection data which chemical companies can use with confidence.
  Oil Companies International Marine Forum
  The Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) is a voluntary association of oil companies having an interest in the shipment and terminalling of crude oil and oil products.
  Port State Control
  This site can be used to obtain information on vessels which have been inspected under the Paris Memorandum for Port State Control of shipping.
  An all-round information site for merchant shipping. Requiring the user to register (At no cost!!), this site provides direct information regarding the status of vessels and general information. It has an excellent search facility.
